Payments Terms and Conditions

The Southern Africa Federation of the Disabled (SAFOD) has created this online payment section on www.saate.org so you can make online payments from anywhere in the world. We recommend that before making payments you read thoroughly the terms and conditions. Please be informed that our payments are processed through a third party, the DPO Group Payment Platform, an independent online payment gateway.
Continue your payment process only if you fully agree with the established terms. By using our payment platform, you expressly declare that you accept the service terms and conditions herein.
Through the DPO Group payment gateway, SAFOD may collect and process information, under strict confidentiality, according to the guidelines outlined in this policy and subject to the relevant laws of Botswana, where SAFOD is registered and headquartered; and the relevant laws of the countries where DPO Group is registered and operates.
Security
The payment site is a safe place because it has the security protocol (https: //) and ends in "s". The certificate is intended to ensure the identity of a remote computer.
About the donation form and registered information
The DPO Group donations system may collect the following types of personal information: names, address, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers and billing information. The DPO Group payment Platform may also collect personal information from individuals acting solely in a donor or sponsorship capacity.
DPO Group will manage data and may disclose your information only to comply with legal obligations for protection against fraudulent activities. SAFOD and/or DPO Group contacts and works only with safe and legal means to ensure the confidentiality of the data provided.
Payment Terms of Use:
- Users of this platform must be people 18 or over and must be legally able to transact
- online.
- They must own the means of payment used to make the payment.
- Payments must come from legitimate sources.
- They authorize DPO Group to charge your card the corresponding amount agreed
- upon in the DPO Group Platform.
Our payment sites can also be visited by underage people, but it has been designed for adults, we recommend its use with adult supervision.
About online information provided:
The SAFOD’s website uses cookies to improve usability and navigation. A cookie is intended to recognize a website; the folder is stored on the hard drive on your computer. Cookies will not recognize or access your private information.
We also carry out anonymous statistics on usability through Google Analytics, a tool that lets us know the pages visited and the origin of users. This information is only used to improve the content of our website.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
To be eligible for a refund on, the following steps must be taken:
- Refund must be requested in writing by contacting admin@safod.net stating clear reasons for requesting refund.
- Request of refund must be made within 30 days of the original payment.
While we stand by our policy as written above, SAFOD also wants to understand how we can resolve the dissatisfaction and better understand how we can serve you. Please contact us at admin@safod.net for any questions related to our policy, or simply to let us know how we can help.
Confirmation of transaction:
After the online payment has been completed the donation form, the DPO Group payment platform will ask you to confirm (which essentially means reviewing all the data entered, including particularly the amount entered) before the payment request is submitted.
Credit Card Details
You agree, understand, and confirm that the credit card details provided by you will be correct and accurate and you shall not use the credit card, which is not lawfully owned by you, i.e., in a credit card transaction, you must use your own credit card. You further agree and undertake to provide the correct and valid credit card details to our partner, DPO Group. Furthermore, the said information will not be utilized and shared by SAFOD and/or DPO Group with any of the third parties unless required by law, regulation, or court order. Neither SAFOD nor DPO Group will be held liable for any credit card fraud. The liability for use of a card fraudulently will be on you and the onus to 'prove otherwise' shall be exclusively on you.
Our Policy on Money Laundering, Terrorism and Other Illegal Practices
SAFOD must refuse to enter a relationship or has to terminate an existing relationship established through the online payments system or otherwise, if the organisation cannot form a reasonable belief that it trusts your true identity and/or the nature of business.
SAFOD will not.
- Accept payments (online or off-line) that are known or suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity; should SAFOD receive a payment online deemed suspicious, all efforts shall be made to engage third party stakeholders such as the fiscal police and/or other relevant law enforcers.
- Enter into/maintain business relationships with an individual or entity known or suspected to be a terrorist or a criminal organisation or member of such or listed on sanction lists.
- Accept donations (online of offline) or enter relationships with ‘donors’ or individuals from Special Risk Countries without further and thorough assessment of the authenticity of such donors or individuals, and the legitimacy of the intentions.
- Enter into relationships with ‘donors’ or individuals operating in prohibited industries.
You Agree and Confirm
That you will use the online payment form(s) for lawful purposes only and comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Site and transacting on the DPO Group payment platform.
You will provide authentic and true information in all instances where such information is requested of you. SAFOD and/or DPO Group reserves the right to confirm and validate the information and other details provided by you at any point of time. If upon confirmation your details are found not to be true (wholly or partly), SAFOD and/or DPO Group has the right in their sole discretion to reject the registration and debar you from using the Services of SAFOD and / or other affiliated websites without prior intimation whatsoever.
That you are not in way whatsoever dealing in or associated with Money Laundering and Financial Crime activities including Bribery and Corruption, Terrorism Financing, Fraud, and other punishable criminal acts.
Effective date of the Agreement and its validity term:
The use of the terms and conditions for the SAFOD online payment Site is valid as of 22 September 2022 and may be modified at any time; please check back for any modifications.
Site Policy Agreement:
I give my free and informed consent to the terms and conditions of this website and for my personal information to be managed by SAFOD directly or through third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions and agree that my use of the payment platform is a recognition of my acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of this present agreement conditions.
If the user wants to ask for any modification, correction or deletion of all data you have given us, to stop receiving commercial information and contact us for any reason you can email admin@safod.net or contact of DPO Group directly.
